Our Services
The Functional Genomics Resources Facility is
a microarray and genotyping laboratory. The services we offer
for gene expression analysis include
RNA purification, probe labeling, hybridization, laser scanning
and Real-time quantitative PCR. The facility also offers genotyping
services, including microsatellite analysis, SNP validation,
and AFLP analysis.
A ScanArray 5000 equipped with an external blue laser is also available through the facility.
For Genotyping protocols there is an Applied Biosciences 377 Sequencer and a Applied Biosystems 7900 Sequence Detection System.
Real-time PCR services on an ABI 7900 Sequence Detector equipped with the Low Density Array block or microplate format block are available for gene expression studies or to validate microarray data.
FGRF is under the umbrella of the Office
of Research Services and Integrated
Biotechnology Laboratories and benefits from the computing,
networking and management experience of ORS and IBL to fulfill
its mission.
